MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Chris Reed has worked in natural therapies since 1996 when he first started as a Remedial Therapist. In 1997 he trained as a Bowen therapist and in 2004 became a Bowen Therapy instructor. To further his understanding of the body Chris undertook an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy and completed this in 2009. In 2023 Chris is completed and was awarded a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Myotherapy) with Torrens University.
Chris has always been interested in the workings of the body, and remains committed to lifelong learning to strive to understand how this technique works to influence the body to create the positive change we continue to see. Committed to teaching Bowen, Chris strives to share his passion and his understanding of this amazing technique, distilling his years of study into workshops accessible to Bowen therapists at all levels.
Chris runs Geelong Bowen & Remedial Therapies and conducts nationally recognised training, Certificate IV and Diploma of Specialised Bowen Therapy for Bowen Training Australia, as well as Bowen specialty workshops nationally and internationally.
Chris has always been keen on being fit, running marathons and competing in triathlons. Through his training, Chris has an insight into how athletes think which he feels certainly helps when treating athletes and footballers.
His personal mission is to “Inspire Happy and Healthy Lives” and he works to achieve this by:
- Operating Geelong Bowen & Remedial Therapies since 1999, a multidisciplinary clinic specialising in Bowen Therapy but now incorporating Massage, Myotherapy and Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
- Teaching Bowen Therapy locally, nationally and internationally
- Producing the BowenBuzz Podcast
- Past chair of the Bowen Association of Australia for 15yrs
- Current chair of Bowen Training Australia for 5yrs
- Striving to share his passion and his understanding of the amazing Bowen technique
- Founder and administrator of the Bowen Therapists Support Network Facebook group
- Co-founder of the Business of Bowen membership
- Trainer and assessor with Bowen Training Australia (RTO#41134)
This workshop is not part of the nationally recognised training, however it is Bowtech accredited and eligible for 16 CEU points with Bowen Association Australia.
